Loga had loved the great christening party for Wild Bay. She had never experienced anything so uninhibited.
By August 1934 John Owen and James Jones had both returned to Cardiff to carry on with their successful operation in Finland. Quigley was delighted because he was left in sole charge at Wild Bay with James's wife thrown in to boot.
Loga was not so happy however because she felt that it was unnecessary for James to return so quickly at his father’s say so. She resented being left out there to look after their baby daughter on her own. She resented the fact that Quigley started treating her like another piece of his property. Childhood memories continued to haunt her. The longer she stayed there the more resentful she became until she eventually hated James for leaving her that way.
In the time that her husband was away Quigley learnt how to handle Loga so that she would do as she was told. Loga didn't have any real say in the matter although she did adore the way that Quigley was all-powerful in Wild Bay. Nobody would dare argue with him because they risked losing their job. Loga never went short of anything whilst she lived so close to Quigley.
Cpl. Dawson had been pleased with the signed statement he took from Eric Wrigglesworth. He returned it to his Unit for their consideration and decided on his next move. R.C.M.P. had already started to seek out the current locations of ex-Ranger Spiller, Loga Quigley and Kris Orlowski.
Dawson was already aware that Chantelle McCarthy, the Catholic maid was still alive and living in Fatima, Northern Portugal from the information sent to him by Ap Meurig. He had wondered about Ap Meurig's motives but his work had convinced him otherwise.
