It was then that she realised of course, that it was Orlowski's child she was carrying and not Mr Jeffrey’s. She felt distraught and at a complete loss what to do. Orlowski made her sit and wait beside him. She was absolutely petrified. Frozen with fear.
At about 10:00pm Loga had slipped out to Quigley's house, drank too much and had staggered back to her own house at about half past three in the morning. James and Emily were fast asleep but Orlowski heard her come in and lit the three fires he had carefully prepared.
After quietly taking Chantelle into the dining room where she lay curled and whimpering in the corner he crept back to the bedroom where he killed James with his blade whilst he slept. At that moment Chantelle had plucked up enough courage to come out and standing at the bedroom door she saw what Loga was doing. But by this time the fire had taken hold and was starting to come through the floor. Chantelle ran back to grab Emily from her bed and go towards the backdoor. Only to find it barred. Eventually she managed to break the door open but when she turned round to pick up Emily she found she had gone and stood behind her mother. When the rescuers broke the front window Loga and Emily were pulled through to safety.
