68. The next people to be invited to the front of the stage




were five members of the Wrigglesworth-McDade family. One or two of the family were quite emotional as the Mayor pointed out that they had never received their promised 100 guinea rewards for carrying-on the Wrigglesworth name in the area.
As soon as they had sat down, two other men stood up; one of whom took the microphone.
"Ladies and Gentlemen if I may introduce myself, my name is Leon Quigley."
The whole audience went deathly hushed because the name of Quigley was infamous on the Labrador for the mismanagement of operations at Wild Bay.
